Ioana-Maria Repciuc

What I know for sure and have realised during this pandemic is that I’d never give up this profession for anything in the world. I haven’t found anything else I’d do with so much love, so much passion, and now I’m certain I will never give up this vocation.

Ioana-Maria Repciuc

(b. 1991, Oradea)

In her early childhood she studied ballet, modeling, different styles of dancing, martial arts and basketball, but she finally got to study music taking singing lessons at „Francisc Hubic” Popular School of Arts. After being given the wonderful chance to collaborate with Queen Mary Theatre in Oradea in the musical Godspell, she irretrievably fell in love with theatre and with the process that leads to a show, musical theatre being her favorite genre.

After graduating from „Emanuil Gojdu” high school she was admitted into Theatre and Television Faculty at Babeș Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca where she studied acting. She got her bachelor’s degree playing Charity, the leading role in the musical „Sweet Charity”. Her debut role was Maria in the musical „West Side Story” directed by Răzvan Mazilu at Odeon Theatre in Bucharest. This was followed by a lot of auditions which led to getting parts in theatre shows all over the country, being part of radio shows or dubbing for series, movies and cartoons.

Among her roles are: Becky in „Thomas Sawyer”, directed by Horia Suru, Rambuku in „Rambuku”, directed by Mihai Măniuțiu, Maria in „Balul Cimitirului”, directed by Alexander Hausvater, Coquelicot in „Balcanicele”, directed by Alexander Hausvater, Hermia in „Visul unei nopți de vară”, directed by Muriel Manea, Hava in „Scripcarul pe acoperiș”, directed by Andrei Munteanu and many others.

Besides all of this, Ioana is part of Create.Act.Enjoy Association team, trying to bring her contribution to the well being of the patients in Cluj-Napoca`s hospitals and in the community in general, by using art therapy.
