SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Ioan Paraschiv

Actor

(b. 1988, Arad)

In 2011, Ioan Paraschiv graduated from the Lucian Blaga University, Sibiu, with a degree in the Actor’s Art. From 2011 to 2013 he studied for an M.A. degree in the Art of Performing Theatrical Characters at the same university. While a student, he was a member of the Youth Theatre company in Piatra Neamț. From 2013 to 2021 he was a member of the Radu Stancu National Theatre company in Sibiu. Since 2022 he has been an independent actor. He has played countless parts, including Noah in Richard Nash’s Rainmaker, Kilroy in Tennessee Williams’ Camino Real, Cyprian in Yvonne, based on Witold Gombrowicz’s Yvonne, Princess of Burgundy, Lee in Jez Butterworth’s Jerusalem, and the Officer in Arthur Miller’s View from the Bridge. He has also appeared in several films, including Shadows, Horizon, Afghanistans, Impromptu Spies, and No Man’s Land.

He has won the Award for Best Actor at the HOP Gala (2013), the National Audition Award of the Ion Luca Caragiale National University of the Theatrical and Cinematic Arts (2013), and 10 For Film at the Transylvania International Film Festival (2014).
