Arcadie Rusu has a Degree in Choreography from the Ion Luca Caragiale National University of Theatre and Film Arts, where his show “Mind Control” won an award for Best Performance at the graduation gala. He was awarded a danceWEB scholarship at ImPulsTanz, the Vienna International Dance Festival, thanks to a wildcard offered by the 4Culture Association. He was awarded an Attic Arts residence at the Romanian Cultural Institute, London, taking part in the Cultural Olympics with three projects in partnership with the English National Ballet. He is the founder, manager and choreographer of the Linotip Independent Choreographic Centre and a member of the Căciuleanu Romanian Dance Company. He has choreographed “Closed-door Trial”, “Promised Land”, “Crazy Stories in the City”, “Sleeplessness”, “Hunted Devotation”, “Babel”, and “BASMa Curată”. Since 2009, he has worked with Ioana Marchidan, with whom he founded Linotip. His shows have been featured at national and international festival. He works constantly with theatre directors, visual artists, and musicians, and hold workshops on contemporary dance and personal development by means of dance.
