Ana Turos made her debut at The Masca Theater, where until 2011 she was cast in numerous productions, playing both in unconventional spaces and in various indoor shows: musicals, comedies, physical theater or clowning.
She graduated from the Acting Faculty at Spiru Haret University, the class of Adriana Piteșteanu and Vlad Rădescu, and then she underwent the MA Acting International Program at East 15 Acting School, London.
After returning to Romania, she worked in Bucharest and across the country, getting involved in independent projects (at Apollo 111 Theater, Cultură’n Șură, The Apropo Theater, The Theatre for Few, Compania Spot) or collaborating with state theaters (The Comedy Theater, The Excelsior Theater, The Bulandra Theater, The Ariel Theater).
Passionate about dance, Ana also has a rich experience in the area of movement or performance theater and has worked with choreographers such as Vava Ștefănescu, Cosmin Manolescu, Ioan Tugearu, Ioana Macarie etc.
Ana has initiated several projects. In the summer of 2018 she created Clara and The Leisure Time, a one-woman show exploring the theme of children’s programs with extracurricular activities. In October 2019, she performed the show in a tour for the Romanian communities in the US. In 2020, together with Teodor Ghiță, Ana developed the show 404 LOVE. The piece was among the winners of the call for projects launched by The Apropo Theater and had its online premiere during the Bucharest Fringe – Independent Theater Marathon.
