Alina Dumitrelea studied acting at the People’s Arts School in Pitești and from 2011 to 2014 was a student in the acting class of Professor Florin Zamfirescu at the Ion Luca Caragiale National University of Theatrical and Cinematic Arts. She was awarded the prize for best actress at the Student Theatre Evenings festival for her rôle as Pallas Athena in her degree production, The Quarrel of the Gods.
Since university, she has been a member of the Logos independent theatre company, where she has enriched her acting experience playing numerous parts, which have included Margareta in Goethe’s Faust, Solveig in Ibsen’s Peer Gynt, Viola in Twelfth Night, and Cleanthis in Pierre de Marivaux’s Island of Slaves.
Although she prefers the independent stage, she has also performed at the Excelsior and Ion Creangă state theatres.
Since 2017, she has also been a member of the Lumiland independent children’s theatre company, performing and assisting in the creation of numerous productions.
She lives for the theatre and puts passion into every new project in which she participates, never flinching from even the greatest challenge. She likes to express herself artistically to the fullest whether she is performing for an audience of hundreds or as a living statue in a little-frequented corner of a park.
